USC Trojan Marching Band To Perform AVENGED SEVENFOLD's 'Almost Easy'
December 31, 2008The USC Trojan Marching Band will perform AVENGED SEVENFOLD's hit single "Almost Easy" during the Rose Bowl's halftime show on January 1, 2009. The broadcast begins at 1:30 p.m PST, with halftime starting at approximately 3:40 p.m. PST.
The USC Trojan Marching Band garnered a lot of attention earlier this year when it performed the song at a USC vs. Stanford game and a bootleg video (see below) was posted on the Orange County band's site. Now the Marching Band's performance of "Almost Easy" at the Rose Bowl will likely make it onto national television as ABC guarantees a three-minute portion of halftime be shown live.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD's DVD/CD package, "Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough", was released on September 9. The live DVD features the band's April 10 hometown show at the Long Beach Arena headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, while the CD contains previously unreleased b-sides that were recorded during the making of "Avenged Sevenfold", plus various covers, and other never-before-heard material. The DVD was directed by Core Entertainment's Rafa Alcantara, who also worked on the band's critically acclaimed 2007 road documentary "All Excess".
